There are three "tags" in your code that are very
important.
Your "title" tag.
What you write here is seen in the top of your browser display.
Keep it to your keywords.
The "Description" tag is what people see in a
search result. Keep this to your keywords also.
The "keywords" tag is the final meta tag.
Place your most important keywords at the beginning, do not repeat
keywords, and do not use commas.
The more keywords you use, the less important each one is in the eyes of
the search engines.
Best results are made with one keyword phrase per page. While Google says they do not use this tag, I do believe they factor
this in.
Never use any keywords in your tags that are not used
in your page text.
Other code tweaks are to keep the code as "clean" as
possible, moving style and java script commands off the page code into their
own files.
Use "Alt" tags to bring up a text description of your graphics. Remember
that these are intended to give a textual representation of your graphics,
so do not stuff them with keywords.
