So how do you research
your keyword phrases?
I use
www.nichebot.com which draws on search engine's databases and displays
results based on how many times the term was searched for in the past 12 months.
Based on these results I
would optimize for "Search Engine Optimization" then SEO.
If your service is local
in nature and you are not looking to sell to a global market, then include the
name of your area in your page keywords and if possible in your domain name.
When considering keyword
phrases start with the broadest of terms that relate to your best selling
products or services.
Most businesses find that
20% of their products/services produce 80% of sales and the 80/20 rule applies
to keyword results. Choose carefully.
